Our Rental Cars – Models.
(Third-Party Liability Insurance) TPL is included in the basic car rental rate, as required by Costa Rican law. It covers injuries, death, or hospitalization but does not cover damages to third-party property or damage to the rented vehicle. In the event of an incident, there is a 20% deductible.
(Total Third-Party Liability $10 per day)) Extra third-party insurance (20%) covers injuries, death, or hospitalization, and also covers damages to third-party property. However, it does not cover damages to the rented vehicle. In the event of an incident, there is a deductible of $500.00.
(Collision Damage Waiver $10 per day) This insurance or collision damage waiver covers the rented vehicle in case of a collision, theft, or robbery. It is subject to a deductible of $500.00.
